Water buoyancy can be imagined as allowing the activity of swimming to be gentle or light. Whilst not a heavy gravity loaded sport, the demands of upper body and lower body and the core on creating propulsion in the water are high. Not surprisingly there are several at risk areas: neck shoulders, Thoracic ( mid) and lower backs, knees and feet and ankles. Mobility flexibility strength and core stability programs are essential.
